Become a certified instructor

The instructor course is for sportif, enthusiastic people with leadership qualities. You want to extend your martial arts with pocket-stick skills and want to simulate others in your lessons.

There are 3 methods to get certified:
1) Follow the instructor certification days
2) Host a certification seminar
3) Long distance-learning

Methods 1 and 2

Opbouw en structuur
The instructor certification course has logical and progressive structure. Per course day a level will be trained and tested. During the instructor course days we will mainly train with the kubotan. At the additional instructor training we will also cover mini-flash light and other applications.

An average course day lasts between 6 - 8 hours depending on the level of the contestents.

2 times a year there are additional training days to update your skills and learn new applications.

Method 3
For interested poeple that can't make it to the regular instructor certification course a long-distance program is available. The DVD material covers all techiques of that level. For your exam you will need to tape the techniques/drills/scenarios that are mailed to you. After satisfactory examining your exam you will get your instructor certificate.

Examen-eisen
The Realistic Pocket-stick Concepts is an open system. This means that applying the concepts is more important than recreating techniques. During the examination we will look at:

• correct use of the concepts
• correct use of use of force principle
• safety during teaching and execution
• satisfactory execution of drills and scenarios

Next to the physical exam there will be a theorethical exam.

For every level there is an extensive technical manual with all techniques.

Aanmeld eisen
Minimum age to participate is 18 years
A proof of good behaviour must be presented when needed
A martial arts background is not needed but will surely help you.

After succesfully passing your exam you will be placed on the website as a certified instructor.
